My mother owned & operated 2 Mexican restaurants. I can attest to the fact that this little hole in the wall establishment is the best mexican food in Santa Monica!

These tacos are contenders for the driest tacos known to man. The chicken was dry, the asada was try AND tough (I'm exhausted from chewing so hard), and adobada was only slightly better bc of the marinated juice but once you bite through, dry dry dry. I've never had dry meat in a tamale yet they managed to do it. Hope they can improve.

California Burrito was all fries, barely anything else. Street Taco was good, but I'm frustrated I paid so much to get just fries on the burrito. No options to modify the items is also a bummer.

The restaurant labelled all of our orders (it was a group order), including utensils / napkins/ sauces/ chips. It was so helpful! I wish we were able to add our order preferences/instructions, like no onions or cilantro.

Fish tacos were outstanding. I wish I could say the same about the Steak Chilaquiles Plate . Soggy. Hardly any meat. The rice and beans tasted old. Ended up giving it to my dog.
