This place is amazing!! The eggplant parm and the chicken parm subs were delicious!! The bread was toasted to perfection to hold up to the marinara sauce. Next time we are in Waco, we will absolutely order again!!!

Alfredo sauce was a little bland to me. The packaging of the calzone was horrible and the bread was exposed when they delivered. Wrap up all your food items! Portion sizes for the price was amazing though that's why I give 3 stars.

Packaging / Presentation was a concern. Pizza: ordered 4 slices instead of a whole pie. Slices are large, nice. I think it would be a reasonable expectation that they could go into a box, perhaps a small pie box. I Received each the 3 item ordered inside a separate paper bag, two of which in a plastic bag. 1st paper bag: 2 slices pizza on 2 small thin, flimsy paper plates, 1 extended beyond the other, the intent of which I THINK was to increase the support as well as the diameter of the surface area onto which the slices would be placed. 2 overlapping plates, with 2 slices of pizza, inside a paper bag. Nothing covering the slices or plates. Really! Do better! Wrapping the slices in Aluminum Foil or the paper other sites use to line their pizza box, would have made for a better means of transport & a better presentation. 2nd Paper Bag: same as the 1st. 3rd Paper Bag: Lasagne in an aluminum pan with plastic lid per most restaurants standard procedure. No points lost there. On top of the lasagna container were the rolls. Loose. Do I need to remind you of what loose rolls in Papaer Bag would do to any softness/freshness of the rolls that may have existed prior to their departure from the restaurant? Yes, they can become dry & firm. TASTE: Pizza Slices were great (& as stated earlier, nice & large)! Lasagna was not to my liking. I would not order that again. Rolls were thick, firm, dry & not to my liking. Ordered one of each as trying them for the 1st time. I Would not order those again either. The roll(s) should come standard with the lasagna without an extra fee. Thanks for “listening .’

It's shocking to see positive reviews for this place. We've tried it a few times, and it's always been complete garbage. The food is truly horrendous, legitimately some of the worst excuses for Italian cuisine I've ever had the misfortune to experience. The pizza is the sort of lackluster cardboard excuse you'd expect at a low-rent kids' entertainment venue. The pastas use noodles reminiscent of gluey sawdust paste, and sauces that are mostly water with zero flavor. Every entree my party has tried has been bland, poorly cooked, and unappetizing. I suspect nothing is made with any house-made ingredients whatsoever, it's all just the lowest-grade frozen trash you can microwave. No one I've ever tried eating here with has ever finished a plate or asked for a to-go box; we've let most of it get scraped into the trash where it belongs. Military food is notoriously bad, but I've had better meals in Army dining facilities than Bari's sells. The place was generally dingy with little in the way of style or ambiance, and barely-there service to match. I honestly cannot think of a single decent bite of food or any other redeeming quality for this joke of a restaurant. The few tries we've given it have been more than enough, and we will absolutely not be returning. It's sad to have to write this, but even an Olive Garden or Fazoli's would be less dissatisfying, and that's saying a lot. While this may well have been a good restaurant with quality food back when Mary Imeri was running it in the '90s and early 2000s, she has been out of the game for more than a few years now (retired 2019, died 2021) and it shows. Whatever "magic" may have existed in this restaurant back in the day, whatever made it a so-called "Waco institution" is long dead and gone with no hope of ever coming back. It is time to let Bari's finally fade away to become part of history. One star only because zero stars isn't a choice. Do yourself a favor and skip this place for literally any other option.

I am not usually one to complain, but I ordered the pink tortellini with chicken and a half dozen of their amazing rolls. They were out of the rolls so they substituted two frenchbread rolls. Not even close to being as good or even a substitution for the amount that i should have received. The chicken in the tortellini was very dry. The pink sauce was plentiful so that was a plus and the tortellini was soft and tender. I called the restaurant and the girl that answered told me they couldnt call to ask if a substitution was ok. Just gave me a "we are out of rolls so suck it up" kind of response. Not happy with this order at all.
