The CALAMARI AND SHISHITO PEPPERS appetizer was to die for – likely the most delicious fried calamari starter I've eaten in San Francisco or anywhere else for that matter. I chased that with a small BURRATA PIZZA and a CAESAR SALAD, both of which were absolutely splendid as well. And a shout out to my Dasher, who delivered my feast lickety-split so that the cooked items were still piping hot and crispy!

The mushroom risotto is normally yummy. Maybe I ordered too late, but the risotto was not cooked thoroughly. Tossing $20+ away over a risotto dish with barely any veggies, and zero proteins, and the only dish ordered, really sucks.

The pizza margherita burrata was excellent! Thin crust, crispy and bubbly on the edges, with a nice bit of char. Well-seasoned marinara sauce. Wonderfully creamy burrata. I would have liked a few more basil leaves, though.
The beet salad was also good, but I wished it'd had more beets in it. It was mainly kale (maybe I should eat more green veggies, but I had been expecting lots of beets). The sauce cup was rather small.
Anyway, the pizza is the star of the show here. If you dine in at Beretta, you'll be treated to a nice playlist, a fine wine list, and mood lighting. 10/10, do recommend.

I had gluten free versions of the CARBONARA PIZZA and the ASPARAGUS PIZZA and were both a disgrace for the price: the cheese was solid as plastic, the crust on both pizzas was too hard, the sauce was dry. It's a shame as it used to be my favorite pizza place in the city
