Brent's Deli has been named one of Los Angeles and Southern California's greatest delicatessens. We're known for our delectable reuben sandwich, hand-sliced lox, and decadent desserts. Ron Peskin, who…
Brent's French dip is always a thick juicy burst of flavor in my mouth. The fries were very tasty though I prefer them cooked a little longer so that they crunch. I dipped all in their generous serving of au jus. The cole slaw was as expected. I missed their rye bread. I am not a rye bread person but it astounds me every time it accompanies my order. So delicious! Sadly my order was not secured. Everything was open and for a brief moment I thought perhaps the dasher was so tempted by the rye bread that he removed it from the bag and he got to enjoy it instead of me.. But alas it just was not included as I had the French dip on the French roll. I apologize for my greed and suspecting the poor dasher of grand theft- rye. Only concern was unsecured bags. Next time please secure my food carefully, and I shall definitely order an entree that includes the rye bread or I'll purchase a loaf!

The Blac Pastrami Reubenk
Unfortunately was inedible, there was so much stringy, fat it was the most disgusting pastrami ever. It explains why they offer a leaner cut on the menu for MORE money. I grew up at Langers, Canters, Nate N Al, ive never seen any deli do that.

I love Brents been going since they opened. I was bragging how their Chinese chicken salad is now way superior in the amount of chicken and ingredients to Cheesecake Factory's which used to be the standard and is now just all lettuce.
But Brents, the salad comes completely dry or if they put dressing on its so underdressed I had to put a different dressing on it. I usually order a side, but really its .05 cost for a little side cup of cc salad dressing that makes it taste so special. Just include it or dress the salad so it doesn't taste dressing less!

I've been at Brent's customer for almost all my life. I fell in love with them when I used to live in the valley near northridge. I've eaten at Brent's Westlake a few times, and it's always been okay. not great. but pretty good. The black pastrami Reuben is usually on point. Today, it was fat, blobs, and blobs of fat, and there was hardly any meat in the sandwich . It wasnothing like what their picture shows. It had tons of sauerkraut, which I love, but all fat! The sandwich itself is almost $30, so to pay an extra $5 to have it lean seemed excessive. Also, we were splitting this because usually, Reubens are huge. They must have been getting to the end of the loaf of bread because this was tiny! The only good value was the onion rings for an additional dollar.
There were quite a few. But we also paid for a side of a thousand island dressing, which their competition gives you for free with your order. Take a look at the picture. Does that look like Thousand Island to you? if that was free, I couldn't say anything, but they charge you for it. I am not ordering from this place again

The corned beef and cabbage was very good - tender and mostly lean. The potatoes and cabbage were cooked perfectly. The portion is very generous.
