Burt and his new bride Sharon embarked on an extraordinary journey.
Burt acquired his pizza credentials in 1989 at The Inferno in Burt's Place, and due to the internet, he can now prove it.

Got a Burt's Blend sausage, onion and banana pepper 12" pan pie. Never went to the original Burt's but have been an avid Pequod's fan for decades. I can certainly see the similarities with the burnt cheese crust and I found the thickness level to be slightly less on this pan and frankly more easy to enjoy more in one sitting. Will definitely be making a point to do a dine in visit some time in the future as I know that's how the original Burt's preferred to serve their pies. Jerry did a fine service resurrecting this place and carrying on the original methods that inspired so many great pizza places in the area.

Puny salad for seven dollars. Crust burned. Should be packed in a box to avoid damage during delivery

One of the BEST pizzas places in the area! Burt's own sausage blend is super tasty! Crust is amazing!

had the x-large 16" pepperoni again and it never disappoints. Maybe the most unique pizza in Chicagoland. Always a treat. it's fantastic.

The worst pizza we've ever had. The grease soaked through the bottom of the pizzza and the cardboard circle to pool all over the table. There was NO cheese on it. The crust was totally burnt. Tasted like you were eating charcoal. I used to be of the ilk that even bad pizza was good...not anymore!
