The original veal and other sandwiches from the original California Sandwiches location cannot be beat. I have been eating these sandwiches for over 30 years now and they never ever disappoint. Every sandwich on the menu is fantastic in its own right. My favourite is extra spicy veal with light sauce, mushrooms, onions and provolone cheese, beautiful every time!

I have been eating sand from the ori California. Sandwiches location since I was 10 years old, that was 40 years ago. The sandwiches are made today with as much at and loveas they were back then. I have never had a complaint with any of their products and I have always enjoyed their food very much. It fills a hunger void that cannot be matched by any other food. The flavour, the taste warms my heart every time I have a California Sandwich. My favourite option is Extra spicy Veal with Eggplant Parm, onions, mushrooms, cheese and hot peppers. A side of their signature Olives is always a must have!. Love these guys!

The steak was so dry, and the onions were raw. I added peppers and got to tiny slices for $2.99. The sauce was greasy and the sanwich, basically tasteless and inedible. All that for $18. This place used to be legendary. Now, its in ruins. Price gauging while shamefully degradingquality of ingredients is so disappointing. The only good thing I can say is the bread was fresh. Off my list for sure.

The veal itself was good (the bit that I ate) but the bun was so soggy that I couldn't eat the sandwich (even though I had selected 'easy on the sauce'). What a pity. If not for that, I definitely would have given 5 stars!!
