Large portions provided, but the taste was lacking. The porkchops were overcooked, causing them to be dry and hard to chew. The gravy was very bland. I usually like the collard greens, but they had a slightly sour taste. The blackeyed peas and rice were actually the best two items and they were just okay. I used to love Carolina Kitchen, but this meal was a huge disappointment.

Vegetables are delicious: black eyed peas. cabbage, greens and of course the mac and cheese! Mom's Meatloaf is always on point! 3 Piece Fried Chicken and Fried Whiting are seasoned well. Carolina Kitchen never disappoints!

I thought the Half Rotisserie (pictured her with candied yams and collards after removing about half to reheat) wasn't quite as tender as others we've had elsewhere. The collards were salty to my taste but not Mom's. The candied yams weren't overly sweet and cooked perfectly. The generously-portioned sheetpan-style lemon cake fell apart when I tried to take a slice out of the container; Mom thought it a bit too sweet. Frosting fans will love it; there's enough on top to make it into a layer cake.
