Bob Mandler opened the first Chin Chin on the Sunset Strip back in 1983. Today, with locations across SoCal, it’s a solid go-to when you’re craving dim sum.

Mongolian beef was tasty, the pork dumplings were filled full of pork whereas some places it's not as full. They were also very tasty.

The dumplings were surprisingly dry. To the point where the dumpling tops were like eating dry, hard, pasta. The sauce under them was tasty though.
The soup was flavorful until eating the tiny bits of chicken in it. So dry they were almost choking.
The chicken salad apparently used the same, old, dried out chicken bits. It was fine if you like spending a small fortune for a handful of cheap lettuce, thats pretty much what you get. Best thing about the salad was the tiny cup of dressing and the fried noodles in the tiny bag.
The spring roll was good.
This is the second time that Ive been so very disappointed recently in this place which I used to love.
Such a shame.

Our food was really not at all worth the price paid. The Chow Mein vegetables were fresh, but it had hardly any flavor. The Sweet & Sour Chicken was tough. The hot and sour Hot & Sour Soup was thick and syrupy and The Famous Chinese Chicken Salad dressing was completely overly gingered. Super disappointing considering how costly Chin Chin is.

My cashew chicken was very underwhelming. Chicken was cooked mildly and not seasoned at all. Vegetables were steamed and very bland. Definitely not worth the price charged, would not recommend.

Delish Chow Mein, nice and tender veggies and noodles. Had the beef version and they didn't skimp on it.
