I hadn't had Ethiopian in awhile, and was really craving it. So, I ordered the Yetsom Beyaynetu which is more than enough for one person to eat as a meal, or great as an appetizer for multiple people (awesome platter! loved it!). I also ordered the Timatim Fitfit which is a mix of injera, tomato, and jalapeno in a sauce: delicious and really fresh. It's somewhat of a salad, definitely a large portion meant for sharing. The final item ordered was the Kay Wot which was quite spicy (super tasty, but clearly I haven't been keeping my slice tolerance up). Those three items were enough for 2-3 people; so, I have tonnes of leftovers! Injera was delicious, I saw other reviewers complaining it's too sour, but it's a fermented bread, it's always going to be sour. Anyway, I loved it! I think this will be my new Ethiopian go-to! Thank you!

Habesha has the best Ethiopian food in Calgary. Please don't waste your time with other restaurants (I've been to almost all of them). Habeesha’s portions, taste, and the quality of ingredients are phenomenal. Keep it up, Habesha!

My favourite ethiopian restaurant so far.the portions were nicely sized. The rice and kay wot was fire. The mendi chicken was okay. Could have used alil more seasoning and the rice was also fire!

Abyssinia was closed so gave them a try. Veggies were oily and spices were bland. And the Derek Tibs were dry - like, beef jerky level. Couldn't eat more than a couple.
