Y'all, the way I just HURT MYSELF on this meal!!! The portion size was more than enough for the price. The food was hot, fresh, and expertly seasoned. The chicken was cooked to perfection (note it's boneless). The combo of the crunchy texture + you have the sauce to pair with it was heavenly. If y'all are looking for authentic Louisiana comfort food, this is the place - coming from a born & raised Cajun on a quick business trip that didn't want just another "New Orleans branded" meal. This business is the real deal!

Sooooo good. I ordered on a Sunday afternoon, so it took a little longer. The wait was WORTH IT! The Wings (8) were small, so they gave me more than 8.. Taste & Texture were a 10/10.
The Lobster Mash Potatoes were yummy!

Not all the food was delivered hot! The gumbo and grilled cheese were a 10/10! The chicken wings were too soggy, 7/10. Heard Dat potato salad portion size was always for me too small, especially compared to all the restaurants of many different types here in New Orleans. And for me, this disappointment has caused me to stop ordering entrees from Heard Dat. But after reading the many good recent reviews, I decided to try Heard Dat again, and the potato salad portion was smaller than what I was accustomed to receiving from Heard Dat. It was literally smaller! The french fries were plentiful, but cool and stale! Come on Heard Dat, from the beginning of your opening, I have supported you, because you are refreshingly different here in the hood and you are good!!!

My favorite restaurant in NOLA . Chef Jeff Heard makes unforgettable food; you can taste the love. This is the food you crave. Dat Red Bean Plate with Blackened Catfish, I could eat this everyday. The Bread Pudding is heaven on Earth. Any entree you order will be exceptional. I have tried almost every selection over the last several years. The food is consistently exceptional. Chef has high standards for the food and flavor. This food is worth in a million stars rating.

The BBQ Wings (10) were so tasty. Right amount of spice and sweetness. Steak fries were A1. Def one of my new fav places. The Macaroni wasnt my favorite but still was good! The tea is so good! Overall 8/10 . Loved it:)
