Jake's never dissapoints. The Smothered Turkey Wings were cooked perfectly and the peppery sightly spicy gravy that comes on them was excellent. The sweet plantains I got as ones of my sides were delicious. The Triple Chocolate cake is a great mixture of tractor and flavors - it really hit the spot. I definitely don't regret adding Coco Bread to my order either: it's fluffy, lightly sweet and a perfect accompaniment to the bold flavors in the Smothered Turkey Wings and the plantains.

macaroni is dry looks and taste 1 day old, catfish is tiny and overcooked, cornbread is jiffy mix, okra soggy, Bland greens and cabbage only 3 oxtails,gave food to my 3 dogs most expensive dog food ever! $110.00

Tasty down home cooking. The pork chips were perfect and the cabbage and black eyed peas were extremely good. I'll definitely try this again next time I'm in the mood for comfort food.

Jake's is just some of the best food in Birmingham. If you haven't tried it you should. My personal favorite is the Ox Tail but their Jerk Chicken is outstanding as is the Pork Chop. So in short EAT AT JAKE'S.

I love going to Jakes, but sometimes you gotta go delivery. I got the Turkey wings with rice and the Mac and cheese, and it was so so good. I love the gravy that comes with the Turkey wings on my rice and they did not disappoint. And the max and cheese was cheese without being too wet or dry. Love the flavor at Jakes!
