I ordered a Tostada Cubana and I got a semi-toasted hogie roll or something similar, but it was not Cuban bread. It was much smaller and had a different texture. My coffee was practically all milk and cold, and most of my bacon was burned. I've placed this order many times before. This was horrible and beyond disappointing.

rice and beans were fine but the ropa was so sauce, all grease and there was almost no meat. it was just a bunch of GIANT pieces of bell peppers

We have ordered from here several times. It seems there is always something that is either too over cooked or just not fresh enough. The turkey in the turkey sandwich was not the best quality and more like the cheapest turkey you would buy on a budget at Winn-Dixie. The lettuce in the sandwich was old and turning brown. There were barely any tomatoes and there was no mayo on the sandwich. Sadly disappointing. The fried fish was very burned on the outside. It should be a medium brown color, but it was black on the edges and on the entire tail, and very dark brown all around, so it was also dry. The steamed vegetables, rice and plantains were good. I am hoping La Carreta starts to do a better job with these items. We actually have always liked the original location, but that is in Miami, so we would like to become regulars at this Broward location, but only if the food improves.

Only had one little slice of morcilla in my soup but who is counting? Our meal was lovely as usual. Favorite Cuban joint.
