The food here is so flavourful. It is also my understanding they use only the best ingredients, no seed oils or ultra-processed items. Don be fooled by the frozen veggies that accompany the Jollof, it very flavourful and adequately spiced. I could always use more spice but it great for others who require less. My best testimony is that my wife and son both also love this place. We highly recommend Mama Philo's. Odabo

The White Rice & Stew w/ choice of Meat or Fish was sooo disappointing! It was awful and extremely watery and soupy. See picture. The chicken was not fully cooked either. It was very disappointing and unappetizing. The Fried Ripe Plantains Side Order was not even ripe and was dry.

The stew portion was so small, almost nonexistent compared to the amount of rice given. The plantains were old, it was evident that they was fried the day prior or even a few days prior and just reheated that day to sell. Highly disappointed.

I ordered goat soup before from this restaurant and it came in a bigger tube for 17$. I don't understand what this small tube is for 17$. This was a rob. Also the Egusi smelled spoiled.
