Donut Star has the best, fluffiest donuts in North Carolina and their Long John's filled with vanilla cream are the best in the USA.

Bavarian creme filled was perfection. My son liked the Cinnamon Roll, but it's basically a cinnamon flavored giant donut. It's probably not fair that I have eaten many an apple fritter at the Orange Blossom Cafe in Buxton, Hatteras, NC, but there's no comparison. They need a more substantial dough, tarter apples, and less glaze. It was just bad, greasy, flat-tasting....bad. The coconut donut would have been perfect had it been a tad less sweet. The lemon filled was delish. The vanilla cream filled is way too sweet,too. All in all, a mixed bag.

Their donuts are amazing (as always)! Highly recommend. We enjoy all of them as a family of 5 with different tastes. My favs are the sprinkles. Don't miss the Apple fritters either.

Delicious, fresh donuts!! Even the Donut Holes (Dozen) are each so fluffy. If you order a Sprinkles donut and you want a specific frosting, might want to specify under the special instructions. I ordered 2 and one came with white frosting, one came with pink (I thought they'd be chocolate like the picture). It was fine for us though! My daughters thought they were delicious!
