I have never written a review for any restaurant on DoorDash before, But let my tell you Rib Shack honestly deserves one, and let me tell you why.
I am pretty much a creature of habit, so I get the same meal when I decide not to eat homemade lunch. Every time I order out consistently, for over almost the last year, they have always had good service and good food, and they always go above and beyond.
For example, today I ordered a catfish meal and a brisket slider. Nowhere in my order did I request a drink, and yet, just for great customer service, they threw in two drinks.
Everything is always well prepared and kept warm. The portions are a really, really good size, and it tastes like authentic soul food for a fraction of the price. You would pay the same for a full meal at some of these other places that claim to be the best in town.
Lastly, I think the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to Rib Shack is their catering. So, if you’re catering for a work lunch, a family gathering, or some type of church function, you’re going to get tons of food, really well prepared, warm, in nice foil pans, looking fantastic, and it’s going to cost you nowhere near what it would to get it from Famous Dave's or Dickey's or some of those other "fake" barbecue places.
But that’s just my opinion, and everyone should definitely give Rib Shack a shot.

I have been ordering since they catered my family's Thanksgiving meal and they are consistent with the way the food is made.
I've order this meal 5 times and each time it's like a homemade meal.
They do not skimp on the portions as many many restaurants do. This is enough for me to eat 2-3 times.

• DoorDash orderThe Half of Slab St. Louis Ribs Dinner was okay. The ribs were a bit salty and huge. I think whoever seasoned the ribs needs to be more gentle with the seasoning. The 1 Lb Rib Tips Dinner was the best and was very tender. The yams were nice and sweet. The Piece of Sweet Cornbread was a bit stale at the bottom but was still good. The Mac N Cheese was delicious! Macaroni and cheese is my favorite side dish ever, and I appreciate the homemade quality of it, too.
I would order again from Rib Shack Smoke House.

• DoorDash orderOnly problem I had was that the BBQ sauce tasted like it had sat in a steam table with the setting way too high. The flavor was awesome but it had a burnt taste that didn't seem to originate from the process of making and instead from the storing. The portion size was fantastic for the price, flavor of the Quarter Chicken Dinner was really good. The fries were well cooked and well seasoned.

• DoorDash reviewJust what I wanted for a Friday night, collard greens were perfect !! Mac & cheese, fried okra all delicious.. the Cat fish though is off the chain !!! Who would have thought from a bar b q specialty restaurant...my new favorite !! Anyone who has a taste for fried fish should try it here !
