In my very humble opinion, the true test of pizza is whether the place can pull off a good margherita. Roebuck pizza absolutely shines here. I had found myself getting annoyed with Chicago's attempts to make wood-fired style pizza, because the crust would inevitably be practically raw in the middle. Now I realize it's my fault.. What was I thinking? The crust just can't stand the weight of lots of heavy or wet toppings. I started ordering margherita because I wanted to cut calories and shift my diet toward less meat, especially processed, without giving up pizza. I'm here to tell you that in this case, it's no sacrifice. It's just that good!!

pizza was great as usual but the fried pickles were a disappointment. they switched from a healthy serving of fried pickle chips to 3 pickle spears. $12 for 3 pickles is not worth it IMO.

Very nice! I have to agree with my fellow reviewer that the Back of the Yards pizza is excellent. the pizza could have spent 30 seconds more in the oven-the crust was slightly under done-but it was so good, I didn't even care. The salad was fresh and wonderful-the arugula was a perfect counterpoint to the pizza. I won't hesitate to order again!

usually this place is quite good, but this time they seem to have dumped a bottle of chili oil on the pizza. The box was sopping wet and the pizza was sticky and soft.

Marinara pizza and House Side Salad with chicken is my go-to, delicious every time! Get the cilantro dressing for the salad it's unreal
