My wife ordered the filet mignon for her New Year's Day lunch and I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken. Her steak was cooked the requested temperature and my chicken was very tender. Over several meals from the Root Cellar the quality has been exceptional.

Everything arrived hot and fresh. The chicken was perfectly cooked and crispy, the gravy absolutely delicious. The fried green tomatoes had good crisp breading with perfectly cooked tomato inside and the dipping sauces were great. My husband enjoyed the sweet potatoes, and I really liked the sauteed brussels sprouts. The deviled eggs were good too. This is the home cooked meal you don't have to cook yourself! This was my first time ordering from Root Cellar, and we will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

The chicken was so tender and juicy! It was the best and most delicious chicken I have had from a restaurant in a very long time! The green beans and sweet potato soufflé were good, but the chicken was phenomenal! The portion size was excellent and will allow me to indulge once more!

Food was delicious.. like somebody grandma was in the kitchen . The carrot cake wasnt too my liking.. the baby Lima beans and field peas were delicious. But the portion size was too small for the price. The sweet potato soufflé delicious and great portion size and macaroni & cheese was A1.

Absolutely amazing! The vegetables are fresh and well cooked. The Shrimp & Grits and Blackened Catfish BLT were both flavorful with good portion size. We will be back for sure!
