The Best soul food in town.
Ordered through DoorDash a couple of times and I have been impressed every time. Chicken is crispy and flavorful. Mac + Cheese was crispy on top and creamy in the center just how it's supposed to be. AND THE YAMS!!! my favorite part, just wish more came as the side. Still amazing food and will definitely be coming back for more!

The cost was way too high for the low quality of this food. The mac and cheese was dry and of average taste. The cabbage and potato salad were just okay. The green beans were from a can. All of it tasted like it was old, over cooked and, sitting too long. The fish was quite salty and very crunchy. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again nor recommending to anyone.

Okay first things first, the Candied Yams are by far the best thing there is. You won't be disappointed by them. I only wish the side portions in the Chicken dinner were a tad bit bigger because they are quite small so you might have to buy more sides separately. The SLAP’n Rice was good as well. I do wish it had a kick of spice to it but that doesn't make it any less good. It has real ground beef chucks and sausages! They give you a good amount of Chicken as well and everything came fresh and hot. This place is so much better than Taste of Kate's. I 110% recommend this.

Sometimes they run out of yams which tragic because they are AMAZING, so always make sure they have them or answer them when they call to inform you. Super helpful, delicious and I rarely have any issues. Also they always serve portions that are worth it. Would and have ordered again.

I USUALLY LOVE THIS, BUT DO NOT ORDER ON DOORDASH OR UBER EATS!!! I ORDERED FRIED FISH WITH YAMS , A SIDE OF MAC N CHEESE SEPARATELY AND A SIDE OF COLLARD GREEN SEPARATELY!! INSTEAD OF PUTTING IT IN A CONTAINER FOR A BIGGER PORTION!! THEY GAVE ME A SMALLER AMOUNT AND PUT IT IN THE WHITE BOX WITH THE FISH!! I NOW HATEEEE THIS PLACE PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR ORDER ALSO DONT ORDER AT NIGHT! I WILL NEVER BE GOING HERE/ GETTING FOOD FROM HERE AGAIN!!!!
