Hands down the best chicken rice in SF!! The chicken is a lot juicer and rice more fragrant than other places. On top of that, the price is better than the competition.

YUM!! I got the fried chicken rice with hainanese sauce and it was FANTASTIC! the sauce was chock full of onion and aromatics and was a hugely flavorful addition to the chicken and rice. The mango milk was so creamy, definitely would order both items again.

First time and the Crispy chicken with rice was so good. The crisp was really nice and the sweet chili sauce is one of the best I've had. The pickled cucumbers are a nice touch. I also ordered a side of steamed broccoli which was good, it was topped with a sauce, not sure what it was but it was good.

I frequently order from Gai Chicken rice for Sunday dinner or weekday lunches. The flavor and quality of the chicken are very consistent and dependable. The amount of rice is generous. The store is inconsistent when it comes to the amount of chicken provided and the easy boiled egg. From my experience, the amount of chicken is variable. There were times where I received a very generous amount chicken and times where I could not tell the difference between a mixed gai and the original gai. From my experience, easy boiled egg experience depends heavily on where the egg lands in the container and the transportation of the food. If the easy boiled egg landed on the sauce container or ruptured during transport, the taste was very different than if it was on the rice. A word of caution if your delivery address puts you about 40+ min away as changes to delivery range will cut you off abruptly.
