90% of the beef on Gyu Don was tough as nails. Cut thin but not edible. Would never order again. Frozen Gyu from Japanese market freeze, microwaved is more tender.
Gave 2 stars because the karaage chicken was good.

Wayyyy too salty for my taste and too much sauce. It overpowered every bite.

I ordered the Curry Katsu Don カレーカツ丼 This was the first time that I had Japanese curry with pickles inside of the curry. So the slight vinegar taste was a little different than I expected but it was still good! The serving size is great too, so you definitely get your money's worth . The 5 Pieces Chicken Kara-age チキン唐揚げ5ケ was delicious and fresh!

Food prep and delivery were quick. The karaage was hot and fresh, which I greatly appreciated. I can taste a lot of white pepper in the chicken but felt it could use more salt (and perhaps a dash of msg :D).
The mini dons were a good portion size for lighter appetites (regular rice level) and had adequate toppings relative to size. I wish the mini dons were warmer (ideally hot) because all 3 were around room temperature. Flavorwise, they tasted ok and were fairly neutral. It's not the best tasting I've had nor was it the worst... but it was filling.
Ranking the 3 mini dons I got, the Oyako Don was first (most balanced in flavors), then Spicy Tantan (which reminded me of kimchi and gochujang flavored rice -- not that spicy, it's less than sriracha level), and lastly the curry omu don. The curry was quite light on flavor.
