The seafood boil has been bringing people together for centuries in the South, where a feast means getting filthy with friends. Our distinctive boil forks over powerful flavors with a genuine, down-ho…
I loved this restaurant last time I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy (and I will order that again from Hook and Reel) but this experience was a bit disappointing. The Flounder Basket was a mix of good and meh. The batter was excellent. Not too much, not too little. The flounder itself, however, was a bit gummy. Now, I know that flounder doesn't thaw well from freezing, but this was overcooked gummy. Disappointed. The gumbo, however, is an abomination against God and nature. First, this was not a roux based gumbo. I don't know what it was, but it was terribad. Also, CARROTS DO NOT BELONG IN GUMBO.
TLDR: Disappointing this time, but I'll be going back for the Shrimp Po Boy.

Good food, fresh, and tasty. My wife enjoyed her Mini boil dry with Old Bay. My Cajun spicy was a bit over spicy. (I am a native West Texan, and used to hot food, including Cajun seafood. ) Tonight was over the top!

They obviously care about their customers. Great Gumbo and I received everything I ordered. Excellent Gumbo and Cajun Hashpuppies. I wont order seafood from anyone else when in Midland.

gumbo wasn't seasoned. I had to add my own and not a lot of meat more okra than anything
