Wow. Just wow! I tend to be brutally honest, both in my daily life and in reviews. I can wholeheartedly say that Man v.s Fries blew me away.
We have tried many "ghost" kitchens like this one, and though they have been okay, more often than not, what you get is less than advertised, and that is if you get the whole order. Long story short, when we decided to take the risk and place our first order here, we didn't have high expectations, if any at all.
When our order arrived, and I got the food out, we were shocked. The food not only looked identical to what shown on their menu, the portions were also as huge as advertised. Just from looking at our items, I could clearly see high quality ingredients and the food itself was presented beautifully despite being to go/delivered.
I had the CBR FRIES, and oh my god. This was honestly some of the best, if not THE BEST loaded fries that I have ever had. The food was fresh, still warm/hot, and all the ingredients were delicious and fresh too. Their curly fries are perfectly seasoned and crispy, and then their pollo asado (chicken) is incredible too. They gave me plenty of each ingredient, even of the beautiful garnishing of cilantro on top. Their ranch is also delicious, and I am thankful that they made sure to drizzle a bunch over the fries. And the bacon? Oh my gosh, so good. Nice thick and big but crispy pieces, and a lot of them. My CBR FRIES went far beyond my expectations, and is something I would expect to get in a highly acclaimed restaurant.
My friend had the CALI CRUNCH, and so I cant speak to exactly what it tasted like, however, it was massive, almost as big as the large container it came in. Not only that, it was super thick and stuffed with fresh ingredients. My friend said it was one of the best things they have ever consumed in their life. Imagine if you combined like 4-5 crunchwraps, and then it would be as big as the CALI CRUNCH, but no where near as high quality.
We split both the MAN VS FRIED CHEESECAKE and the OMG COOKIES. Oh my god, literally. Both desserts are incredible, and hands down two more of the best things I have ever consumed in my life. The cheesecake pieces are like large rolls cut in half, you get two, so four pieces and then they have powdered sugar sprinkled on top. The filling was so good, like a good NY cheesecake combined with a sweet/dessert rangoon. And then the fried oreos? Beyond bliss, incredible. The oreos were perfectly fried, with a delicious batter and they came with two cups of chocolate sauce to dip them in. These oreos are life changing and my favorite dessert between the two. The only, and very minor, complaint is that I wish the coating was thicker on the fried oreos, like they're supposed to be.
Everything else was accurate to menu depictions and descriptions. I am so blown away. If this place produces this quality and level of food consistently, this honestly will become my favorite restaurant. The food here far surpassed what I would even hope to get from a full restaurant by itself.
I will be back, I am already having withdrawals. 10 out of 5 stars!
