I have been going to pita hut for over 3 months . Food is healthy and delicious. Baba ghanoush is smooth and creamy
Pita bread has a good texture and goes well with any meat on the menu. Falafel and dipping sauce make a delicious combination. Fries and rice make tasty sides. Gyro with cucumber sauce is hot, fresh, and delivers all the right flavor notes

Gyro rice bowl w/ the garlic sauce! Chef's kiss!! 10/10. Everything had so much flavor, the gyro meat was seasoned well and the rice. The fresh warm Pita slices. Would have preferred a little more dressing on the salad but I had my own Mediterranean dressing at home that I just added to it. One of my favorite meals from Pita Hut!! So happy to see that it was but 1 get 1 free!!

2.5/5
The shawarma itself was pretty good. The meat was very tender and it had the usual simple but delicious ingredients for a shawarma arabie. Had the rest of the plate been done well like the sharwarma, it would have gotten a solid 3.75 to 4.25 stars. Sadly, the rest either didn't make sense and/or was poorly executed. The sauce served was tzatziki instead of a toum or tahini which is not bad per se but didn't compliment the shawarma or the fries that well. In addition, the mixed pickles are basically hot giardiniera which I like normally, but, once again, I was expecting more of a Levantine pickle blend of cucumbers, beets, and onions. I would have been fine had the giardiniera been dressed with a bit of oil and zatar, but it tasted like it came straight out of the jar and was definitely not homemade. All of the above, while confusing or poor choices, would have been forgivable had the fries not been really, really subpar. I like my fries a bit on the thicker, slightly less crunchy side (steak fries or british chips), but these were barely cooked and very soggy. They were barely seasoned either. Additionally they tasted like Great Value freezer fries. If you are going to use cheap fries, at least be smart and cook them to a good crisp and make sure they are very well seasoned to help mask the cheap frozen flavor. I ended up not eating most of my fries. If you are going to charge $17 for a basic shawarma, fries, and pickled veg, each of those components had better be prepared top tier to match the high price. Only one of them did (which at least it was the main entree of the plate which is why the score is as high as it is), and that is a crying shame.
