Sushi Umi has always had very high quality food, and is one of the best sushi places in North Vancouver. It is unfortunate that their prices on DoorDash have increased almost 40% over the last couple years, so I am not able to order as often as I usually do. If you can afford it, it's worth it though!

Simply Exceptional. The basic sushi fare is fresh, tasty and well-made. The special "fusion" creations are outstanding - diverse and unique and NUMMY af.

Portions are generous and presentation is good, however, sushi rice quality and texture needs work. The fish quality is low and not fresh. This becomes noticeable when you consider the menu price.
For what they are charging, Sushi Umi absolutely should use better quality produce.
To say the least, It wasn't worth the money we paid.

Ordered the dynamite roll, it showed up and looked nothing like the photo, no sauce on top. The rolls were the size of my fist and literally couldn't fit into my mouth, or could barely be picked up because they just fell apart. Sushi is by tradition to be made for one bite. The worst sushi experience I've ever had.

Travelling to Vancouver to shoot a video and decided to review sushi umi! the service was amazing and they got my food very quick the spicy tuna roll was very good the tuna had an excellent spicy sauce and tuna was great unfortunately the rice was a bit dry but other than that it was amazing 7.5 out of 10
