I was so surprised by how good the half rack 1st place ribs were. The meat was just falling off the bone, fresh and tender. The cornbread was great and the collards were perfect. Boiled with the stems and branches removed. No sugar or phony flavoring added to the greens. Very authentic. Alabama style. What a find the Smoke Shop was!

I always like the food here. The chicken is always right and the fries always crispy(and their wings DOPE). I got the Pulled BBQ Chicken Plate but seems like they give half what they use to give. At this price I probably should have order the chicken basket. Way more chicken. Hopefully this wa an oversight. Food is always tasty.

Good Portion. Great taste. The mac and cheese was good. The fries were a bit salty. The wings were cooked well, a little less spicy would be perfect but still good. The ribs are nicely flavored, just good be a bit more tender so it slids easily off the bone.

First time I ordered from here was so dang good I had to again! On the second time- here is my review. They loose one star because I ordered a LG PIT BEANS, and it came in a container that holds literally the same exact amount as a small side container. I'm actually a bit upset because why did I pay twice as much? Picture included (side by side to a side dish included in Pit Boss) what a joke and highly NOT worth the price. So avoid ordering large portions (unless they admit to making a packing mistake and refund me and I would take this down). Otherwise- literally the same size ounce for ounce as the small sides. They should list on their menu how many ounces are in a small vs. large. All the sides I have tried so far are tasty- but usually one of my fav sides, coleslaw, needs some more love and attention to their recipe. Very lackluster coleslaw, tastes like they add literally just mayo and a dash of pepper. I had to add some vinegar and sugar and mustard to mine to pep it up. I wish they would put as much attention into their coleslaw as they clearly do their other dishes, which are TASTY. Ive always said, BBQ places need to have sides that are as good as, or BETTER than the meat, and this place is doing it! (Except for the coleslaw ;) I hope they add another vegetable like green beans or sweet corn...lots of carb offerings, few vegetable choices. also would be nice if pickles were offered as a small $1 add-on (not a full sized side). Pit Boss- For the meat- I have really never tried a brisket I like, until NOW! My god whoever packed my first order gave me an all lean-corner piece and it was DIVINE. Second order had some with fatty chunks that were OK. All the meats have been great so far. BBQ Fries- AMAZING and it's a big portion- and would order again. I had some extra queso on hand and meat from the pit boss which was great to remake the left overs. Cheerwinewine- not worth it. The ingredient list is literally water, sugar, caramel coloring, phosporic acid, red 40 and artificial flavor. This tastes like an extremely boring/lost its flavor cherry coke. I decided a couple sips in the taste wasn't worth the dyes and dumped it. I wish they offered better beverages that go with BBQ like sweet tea and lemonade.

I got the Pit Boss to try a few things and have leftovers for the weekend. First up, the brisket. So tender and flavorful. I had asked for BBQ sauce in case it was dry but I didn't end up needing it. The Burnt Ends were OK. Not bad by a long shot, but also not the best I've had either. The ribs however, we're delicious. I've had bad luck finding good ribs the past few years and lemme tell you. These were so tender and flavorful. Will definitely be ordering these again. Now on to the sides. The mashed potatoes were sooo good. I'm used to being served dry clumpy potatoes, but these were smooth and creamy. And the onion flavor was great. On the other hand, the Mac and cheese was not good. I like Mac and cheese and I like pimento cheese. But something about them both being in this dish was off. The noodles were mushy and overall it was sour tasting. Not a fan. Last but certainly not least, the Caramelized Banana Pudding. So good it makes you wanna slap ya momma. I wish I had a gallon of it
