Home of the unconventional taco lineup, Velvet Taco has set out to elevate the taco using globally inspired recipes. The taco restaurant provides a sampling of international tastes and inventive combi…
was craving hot wings & a burger but didn't want to drop $40+ on an order.. this definitely hit the spot.
tried the Kobe beef burger taco for the first time & the buffalo chicken (which I had before & always good), both we're a winner. also tried the elote dip for the first time, was good as well. everything was fresh, tasty & warm. they also provided plenty of chips for the amount of dip.
if you're curious the cup of the dip is about half the size of the regular container.
it's definitely a nice meal combo, especially as there's plenty of options.

The Fish n' Chips taco was excellent even though I didn't see any fries on it.. The fish was a large portion and still hot and crispy. The Grilled Steak was a let down. The steak was a bit tough. The sauce became watery, but the mushrooms were tasty. The whole taco seemed under filled compared to the fish taco.

Velvet Taco has really turned up the flavor in the last few years. Their food has been so good of late I feel I should calling the vice squad! I used to eat at Velvet taco for a bit of rotisserie chicken wholesome flavor, but they've clearly invested in coming up with some wow items that I think hit on all cylinders. The #10 Kobe Bacon Burger is a contender for best burger at least amongst fast food chains -- and it's at a taco place?!? They've clearly put time into picking co-ingredients to compliment the obvious deliciousness it sounds like. Perhaps even better, then #8.5 Chipotle BBQ Pork -- features a bevy of flavors that strike in waves with delicious pulled pork, fresh and delicious with a light chipotle BBQ sauce and then the jalapeños lightly fried and not overpowering kick in for a perfect balance. I compliment Velvet Taco on their improvements that have moved them from #2

Omg. So good. I love that there were multiple meat-free options and they were all absolutely perfect. The only disappointment was the size of my margarita -- I expected the large to be... well, large. But it was delicious too!

Brisket nachos (GF) † Regular Kick Ass - normally a filling yummy item whether you choose brisket or chicken, however this time around I'd give it 1/5. got a sprinkling of toppings + a nauseating amount of cheese. had like 3 chips & couldn't eat the rest it was just a sea of cheese. the chips were breaking & even a layer of cheese at the bottom. the only way it could've been saved is if you added a ton more chips & a bit of the other toppings. it was basically an order of cheese.
Spicy Tikka Chicken Bowl - was good & would order again. exactly like the taco version minus the tortilla. if you decided to make a taco from it, you get around 3. if you're not super hungry, could get 1-2 meals from it.
