Every hour is happy hour at the daiquiri shoppe!
The social: the daiquiri shoppe is the place to go if you're looking for a fantastic drink for an approaching meeting, planned leisure, video game gath…
Food is TOP TIER! Every single time. They always include napkins and chopsticks with every single order I've received. I did think my 2. Gyoza vegetable was more crust than the contents inside lol. But DELICIOUS 10/10.

Really lovely today (Thursday, 6pm)
We live upstairs, but don't get carry out often. More often than not, we get the lunch bento specials versus dinner.
The maki rolls were all buttery soft. The sashimi appetizer is always pricey, but great. Comes on a generous bed of spiralized (radish?, sorry!) that is so refreshing to munch in the summer.
Nice diagonal hatch marks on the single squid piece of sushi; makes it really easy to not get too much of any sauce on it.
We love the wasabi shumai dumplings, lots of nice broth with spring onions as another shareable (4 dumplings, one container)
Not spicy; the flavor of wasabi and the pork really comes across. Definitely worth trying (I love the kick of wasabi, but the dumplings are more about the wasabi flavor versus the hotness)
Definitely recommend this place; I'm partial cause I was here the day it opened :)

I love that the sweet potato roll is big and has multiple piece of sweet potato in it. The shrimp tempura roll always hits!

Yookkejang( Beef or chicken) always a good pick, tried the Beef Gyoza for the first time and it was good, but only came with 3 pieces. I expected a little bit more especially for 6.99

I literally order from here more than any other food place in the city. I try and go for a soup and some raw fish or sushi items when I order and I've been trying to get new things since I order so frequently.
The sushi/ sashimi combos are always a great go-to for me because I have trouble picking from all the rolls. Too many great choices so I'll get one of the combos usually.
and the fish is always so fresh, any day of the week, it doesn't matter. The quality is ALWAYS there.
I personally am not huge on having a lotta rice so this time I got the 80. Sashimi Bibimbab and the freshness of the fish was amazing per usual but the flavors of the pickled onions and seaweed salad with the fish was the perfect flavor mix, and super light too since it was fish with veg instead of rice.
I love love love soup, so I never not order soup from here because this place has literally the best soups around. If I want soup, I always go here. From the spicy beef udon and yukkgaejang, to the 28. Kitsune Udon or Soba that I got this time. This kitsune which I got with soba this time (usually I get udon noodles with soups) was absolutely amazing. There's no way that a broth so clear and light in color packs that much rich flavor. This soup is amazing. I'll be ordering it the next few times for sure. Also the miso, they get it right every time. It's damn good miso and my mama always said if a place's miso is a miss, then the rest is about to follow suit. This miso is delightful. I woke up just now, middle of the night at 4am, to finish the miso soup and i couldn't be happier.
The menu selection they have from Japanese and Korean cuisine is amazing. If you can handle heat, definitely try the tteokbokki. If youre not feeling sushi, the Korean entrees like pork or chicken kui here are amazing also.
And the prices, I truly believe you cannot beat it for the quality of all the food and the quantity. Id say by this point I've eaten the entire menu, and this is my favorite place to eat in detroit hands down. Can't sing the praises for Wasabi enough, especially since it's so hard to find Korean food. They have the best mix of quality Japanese and Korean cuisine and I feel like you can order anything from here and be happy with a full belly.
