For 35 years, Baked Expectations has been THE place to meet in Osborne Village, one of Winnipeg's most popular and unique neighbourhoods. With our dizzying array of cheesecakes, cakes, tortes and pies…
The Lemon Chiffon Cake is one of my favourite cakes from baked expectations. I love the tartness of the curd and the sponge is so light and not too sweet. I wish it was a permanent item on their menu. If anyone has tried their almond torte and lemon, this is way better than that.

The cake was huge, looked beautiful. The chocolate cookie dough ball on top was amazing. The cake itself was too dry and dense imo. The cookie dough was just an odd mix, I was hopeful since I enjoy both but it didnt taste good together. I didn't eat much but the amount of frosting on and in the cake made me feel ill. I wouldnt order this cake again, but I do enjoy other cakes here.

unfortunately the Crazy Chocolate CakeRed Velvet Cake were incredibly dry and the slices were significantly smaller than expected given the cost per slice.
I've been going on location for years and the slices are always well portioned and worth the cost. this was a disappointment for sure.
the Carrot Cake was much better, and while still smaller than the other 2 slices, was better portioned and acceptable in my expectations

You can count on Baked Expectations. I crave German Chocolate Cheesecake. It is wonderfully chocolate with a substantial Oreo crust. The coconut and walnut topping is so satisfying. The thing is it is always the same which is top notch. All the desserts are high quality. The comforting thing is you can count on the flavour being the same and the portion being just perfect. Keep going, Baked Expectations! No time to take a picture. I ate it pronto.

Where is the quality control? I ate one piece of apple from the end. This was $13, this is half a slice.
