My Chicken Pesto sandwich was delicious! They accommodated my request to substitute the baguette for the multigrain bread, which was very soft and fresh. There was a ton of chicken on the sandwich, I would definitely order it again. 5 stars!

Boudin is well-known for having iconic bread and clam chowder. However, they should absolutely be ashamed of themselves for how much they charge for an add-on soup. This was over $5 and is barely 1/2 cup. (We had 2, that is why we can show both the small container and the amount). They didn't fill the small container to full. Very disappointing. Zanotto's and Whole Foods are two of the most expensive places you can get soups from in the area. Ounce for ounce, this is more expensive...and presumably Boudin makes their own, so it should be cheaper.

The grilled cheese was burnt on the edges and the cheese inside was browned which leads me to believe it was made open faced under a broiler and then slapped together. It was barely edible. If I hadn't spent $13 on it, I would have thrown it out. Boudin just keeps getting worse and worse. The sourdough is sub-par and the sandwiches are poorly made. I should have just cooked at home but was feeling lazy after work, learned my lesson!

The Butternut Squash Soup with cranberries and walnuts is one of the best things we've ever eaten, followed closely by their excellent clam chowder (and we're from New England). The sandwiches we've had were all excellent: apple, brie, fig jam; chicken salad; french dip; grilled cheese; the turkey sandwiches. The portions were perfect for us and they hit the spot. My family goes here twice a week at least.
