Large Poutine was so darn delicious! the best mid-eastern poutine fusion I've had in Ottawa and that's saying something!
Philly Shawarma was a bit pricey for the size but that's fair given the quality of the food! sooooo good!

The saj beef sandwich was the worst ever.
More onions than meat. Almost no sauce, beef was dry and stringy. Barely any vegetables. Just onions galore. The tiniest tomatoe crumbs, may one tiny leaf of cabbage. Never order it.
The kefta kebab was good but very tiny little pieces. 50% off was still too much. I suspect this store is failing. And unless they don't start serving decent food at reasonable prices no discount is going to help.

Was expecting to try the shitakke mushroom bites in the Oven-Baked Vegan Pita since that's what is in the picture and is listed as the ingredients on other delivery apps, so was surprised by it having the same vegan protein as the Vegan Pita . Overall the bread consistency was awesome though, and had a good ratio of sauce to veggies to shreds. I was disappointed by the Boustan Vegan Brownie . I remember ordering these in the past and loving the dense, fudgy texture with icing and remember it seeming like a large portion, and was happy to pay that price for that Brownie; I had a craving for those which is why I ordered these and they were not the same. They were much smaller, less dense, and although they were all right, I would not pay the same price for them, or be likely to purchase them again. Thank you to the staff though, I know you do your best and overall my order still was excellent.

A bit bland as the wrap did not have much sauce and the chicken was very dry. Same for the meat in the Stan Kafta Kabab. Feels like the $12 cevapi you can get frozen, just overcooked. Was hungry, so tasted fine.

I wasn't sure what to expect based on the other reviews here, and this being a different style than Ottawa shawarma.
Boustan really exceeded my expectations.
The meal, while at full price is on the more expensive side per portion vs traditional shawarma offerings, but the quality of ingredients must be noted.
The Boustan sauce that went over my Beef Stan Shawarma plate, is awesome, it's a little bit like Swiss Chalet sauce but thicker & with chile and garlic, awesome! The beef was good quality, grilled, not braised! Some chewy bits but that's not unusual. The tabbouleh salad was fresh, the parsley was crisp! I've tried at least 20 shawarma restaurants and the quality of Boustan's ingredients puts them at least in the top 3. I'm glad I gave them a chance.
