Top tier Chinese food from Dumpling Alley. Ordered M07. 黑椒牛肉饭 Black Pepper Beef with Rice, the beef was tender,beautifully seasoned and had the a rich black pepper sauce. Had a GENEROUS serve of H01. 鸡茸玉米汤 / Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup which was perfect for these cold Melbourne nights. The standout was the C07. 叉烧包 BBQ Pork Buns (2pcs) which were stuffed with sweet roasted BBQ pork slices rather than minced or indistinguishable diced char siu pork. They were incredible. Thanks DA!

Perhaps it's my fault for ordering xiao long bao (maybe they do not travel well?) but I wasn't a big fan of those (no liquid in the dumpling, a bit of a strange flavour) and the dry noodle was a bit underseasoned. Pork and chive dumplings and pan fried pork buns were great, as was the smashed cucumber. Would very happily order from here again now that I know what to order.

Good M02. 咕噜肉饭 / Sweet & Sour Pork with Rice, (chicken option)though it felt like the meat portion was a bit smaller than usual. H01. 鸡茸玉米汤 / Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup felt like it was over thickened with cornstarch and dulled the flavour. C03. 三丝素春卷 / Deep-fried Spring Roll (3 pcs) were excellent as always. Not the usual 5 star effort this time, but definitely still good.
