• DoorDash orderI have been looking for good soulfood while here in Stl and this did not dissapoint. Everything was excellent. I will be ordering again.Fish was fired really well. Chicken wings are on the small side but still good. Mac and cheese is very cheesy and flavorful!!!! Highly recommend you to try a lil bit of everything

• DoorDash orderThe Baked Chicken Dark w/1 Side is tiny! Ive eaten here many times and this is unusually small. Also the chicken is either overcooked or old meat. Theres usually gravy on the dressing but none was on either of mines. The bourbon Chicken Wings were fire! Thats all I should have ordered. The sauce is really good and the wings were fresh! However the Chicken Wings are listed as an entree but you must order sides separately? The Collard Greens w/Smoked Turkey were ok.
The Baked Chicken White w/1 Side wing is tiny breast was ok in size but very dry. Ordered a soul sunrise drink but it was available.

• DoorDash orderIn terms of soul food, I expected more. The baked chicken leg and thigh were small but flavorful. The collard greens tasted like they were out of a can. The cornbread was like a mini cupcake size. I mean mini. The peach cobbler did not have a good taste. It had more of a spice taste and less of a sweet taste. This was my first time eating here and probably my last.

• DoorDash orderMac was amazing. Sweet potatoes were great. Collard greens lacked flavor but weren't terrible. The lamb chops had a weird sweet sauce and were definitely overcooked and probably reheated again. The texture was awful and they tasted old.

• DoorDash orderThe food wasnt hot or cold. Just mediocre. The chicken pieces very small and lacked seasoning. The Mac & cheese lacked seasoning and over cooked. The collard greens wasjt bad but too bitter and neededa lithle sugar to balance it out. The dressing was ok but was lacking something. Maybe cranberry sauce & a littlesalt & pepper.
I cook southern food and definitely know whats lacking. Over all it wasa decent lunch.
I will try other items next time maybe go in to the restaurant and eat. I love to support black owned businesses and hopefully have a better experience next time.
