I decided to weigh my protein portions after getting home with my take out order because I opened things up and thought "this doesn't look like 7oz." As can be seen by my food scale in the photos, beef was 3.8oz and chicken was 3.0 oz. I'm extremely disappointed in this and hate the idea that I paid full price for half of what is described on the menu. I was excited to try Gyu after passing it on my commute for years but im unhappy I did.
Flavors are fine but I wanted to feast on tasty Japanese BBQ, not bowls of white rice....

New favorite spot! The Gyu-Combo: 2 Choice of Protein with the prime beef and shrimp made for an incredible lunch. That Takoyaki was delicious, even if the octopus was a little chewy.

Gyu kaku is one of my favorite restaurants! The dine in experience is always top notch h and the take out is usually pretty good! It does definitely taste a bit different than when I'm able to grill the meats myself, but I love that I can get soup/salad/rice bowl altogether! I will say the sauce packets taste different than from the bottle or in restaurant (I don't like it as much but they aren't bad)
