• DoorDash orderAmazing! The price is fantastic especially for the quality if food you receive. There was so much flavor and all the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. The corn was also delicious as were the potatoes. I highly recommend this restaurant and The Perfect Storm.

• DoorDash orderBoiled eggs, so good in the sauce,the spicy hook and reel special blend generous amount of food, I got mussels and everything goes together so good, I literally don't like getting mussels around here in Ohio but hook and reel nails them everytime, not one bad experience, and for the price, cant beat it.

• DoorDash orderFood was good and a good amount was given, that I had left overs. I tried the hook and reel special sauce and I'm personally not a fan. It's not bad, I just didn't enjoy all the flavors combined. Next time I'll get a different sauce like I did before. Apart from that, no complaints.

• DoorDash reviewHidden gem. I was meeting my family at Outback next door to celebrate my birthday and thankfully OB had a 50 minute wait. we walked next door to Hook N Reel and had the BEST seafood meal ever. Their baskets are fresh, hot, plentiful and delicious

This was my first time ordering from here and I got the oyster basket, crabmeat fries, and crab bites. The best part of this was the crab bites. They were well-cooked and flavorful, and the remoulade sauce they were paired with was tasty and went really well with the crab bites. I was really happy with these. However, the oysters were just ok and not very memorable and the crabmeat fries were the most disappointing part of the meal. While the fries themselves were crispy and salted, the crab meat was not very good and the sauce that was a part of it was the same. I do not know this for sure, but I suspect the crab meat supplied for the fries was a mix of lump crab meat and imitation crab (but I want to be clear, I don't know this for sure). It was very dry and put me in mind of a shredded crab jerky (if such a thing existed). Luckily, the fries came separate from the sauce and the crab meat, so I ate them plain. Again, they were ok.
Overall, I was not impressed with this order, but it wasn't horrible either and I did eat most of it. I will probably order from Hook & Reel again at some point to see if this was a fluke with the preparation of the food, maybe just this food in particular, or perhaps an issue with the time it took to get the order to me. Hopefully, this experience is not indicative of all of their food all the time.
