First time ordering from Jolene's- exceptionally fast delivery to Kailua!
6 Fried Birria Wonton was amazing- showed up super crispy, great proportion of meat and cheese, and the consomme was pleasingly spicy and umami
Fried Chicken Cheese Melt had crispy buttery toast, and they followed my request to add Asian pickles. I wish the chicken was a little crispier, but flavor was good, and maybe I'll order Korean Nashville chicken next time. Cheese blend was delicious. I followed their recommendation and got soup instead of fries- the corn chowder has good texture and salt level, effectively complementing the rest of the meal. Pro tip- dip your sandwich in the consommé that comes with the wontons!

The "prime" roast beef slices placed on top of the salad were overdone and dry. The rest of the salad was mostly lettuces with a bit of spinach in a big clump, some sliced sweet onions, four not-quite-ripe cherry tomatoes, a few shreds of carrot, and lots of shredded daikon (or was it jicama? . . . either way, it was almost tasteless). The "house dressing" might be good in coleslaw, but was too sweet for a salad featuring a savory protein such as beef. The salad's almost-saving grace was its large portion. But it would benefit from some shredded cheese (provolone would be nice) and more attention to detail when assembling the ingredients. The "cookie butter milk" drink was very tasty, but would have been much better with fewer ice cubes and more of the drink itself.

My disappointing order of Prime Roast Moco & Rice had two very thin slices of overcooked, stringy beef (it doesn't look at all like the roast beef in the website photo) topped by two poorly seasoned eggs-over-easy, all smothered by a very bland gravy, over a huge pile of overcooked rice. All of this spilled over and wilted the "salad," which was more like a coleslaw prepared with soft lettuce instead of crisp cabbage. I gave it the second star only because it arrived quickly and was still hot on delivery. Otherwise, this was an awful meal. Most of it went into the rubbish, uneaten.

food is BOMB, But ordered a brisket Smoked Brisket Salad and literally there was only like 2 sashimi sized slices of brisket on there. kinda disappointing for the $20 price tag. def will order again though
