The Crazy Roll is a culinary composition that deserves both my analysis and approbation. The delicate interplay of flavors begins with the spicy tuna, whose robust and fiery profile ignites the palate with precision. It is complemented by shrimp tempura a textural masterpiece that marries a crisp exterior with tender interior, embodying the fundamental principles of contrast and balance.
The seared salmon atop this creation is not merely an ingredient it is a testament to the technique of maillard reaction, wherein the surface is caramelized to unlock its savory depth. The avocado provides a creamy respite, a necessary counterpoint that harmonizes the boldness of the proteins. Finally, the tobiko is not to be overlooked it serves as both a visual garnish and a textural delight, its subtle bursts adding an element of surprise to each bite.
And lets not neglect the crowning touch what appears to be a sweet glaze, most likely a combination of unagi sauce and sushi mayonnaise. The unagi sauce, with its deep, caramel like sweetness and hint of umami, envelops the roll in a luxurious sheen, amplifying the richness of the seafood and tempura. The sushi mayonnaise, lightly drizzled or perhaps artistically applied, introduces a creamy tang that further elevates the flavor profile. Together, these components form a symphonic final movement, a culmination of textures and tastes that linger on the palate with a velvety finish. It is, quite simply, a masterstroke.
In summary, the Crazy Roll transcends its nomenclature. It is not merely crazy but deliberate, measured, and refined. It speaks to a higher understanding of sushi as an art form, where every element is executed with purpose and respect. I commend its creators for their unwavering dedication to quality and culinary integrity. Magnifico!

Very small portion sizes considering how expensive. 8 piece Dragon and 6 piece California roll, $29 and $18 each is very expensive given the amount.

Best cost-performance for sushi in the Peninsula! All their food is excellent, but we are big fans of the omakase nigiri and the amaebi soup. Kiddo likes the chicken katsu. In person dining can be a little slow at times but the quality is always good.
