The smothered chicken was excellent. It could have used a little bit more salt and pepper, but I really have no complaints about that. Also, the rice and beans with sausage had a depth of flavor. That was incredible but again could use a little bit more salt and pepper. The mac & cheese Was stupendous. I have no notes on that. This is a dish that was well prepared, but could’ve used salt and pepper. Other than that the meal was delicious.

this is a classic case of everybody can't cook soul food.
Pros: I got everything that I ordered.
Cons: the red beans and rice is pictured definitely is not the red beans and rice that you receive as a matter of fact I don't even think it was even cooked with any type of meat let alone any sausage because it had no flavor whatsoever, the little block of cornbread that they give you is so dry that it crumbles out of the Saran wrap. the mac and cheese taste as if it was made with a really sharp cheddar and it was kind of overpowering and it wasn't Incorporated with the pasta well. My biggest disappointment is that the Meatloaf was NOT homemade! it definitely gave school cafeteria meatloaf vibes. if you're sick of burgers and fries you may want to give this place a try otherwise I would suggest calling Mom and ask her what she cooked.

This is the first time I got the wrong order and I wasn't mad! Instead of getting Smothered Turkey Chops I got a meatloaf with rice and cabbage and it was delicious! Also came with a shrimp gumbo with chicken and I haven't had gumbo in soooo long I was shocked it was so tasty! Honestly like I said it wasn't what I ordered but I was still satisfied.

The food is bland, well portioned for the price but bland! Meatloaf I can't fully tell what type of meat is used over minute rice, gravy was good, yams taste like piss, Mac and cheese was tasty and could've used some seasoning. then why did I order the potato Potato Salad Lord that'll get you put out of mama house! They won't be open much longer!
