Nick Pihakis came up with the name and concept, and when Joshua Gentry heard about it, he put his hat in the ring as well, and the two cofounded Little Donkey, A Mexican Restaurant With Southern Soul.

The food was all as good as if you had ordered it in the restaurant. We got the gulf fish tacos, a fried fish taco, and a Quesadilla w/ Adobada. We also ordered the Queso App and the Homewood Salsas. For 3 dips, they only gave us one bag of chips that was half full, so didn't really feel like a great deal.

This was the worst $40 I've spent on door dash....the Smoked Brisket Fajitas was such a disappointment...the brisket was dry with no seasoning, the black beans were under cooked with not seasoning and smelled spoiled, the rice was under cooked with no seasoning and the flour tortillas were hard....if this is what made fresh taste like I'll take the processed anytime.... I should have asked for a refund on this expensive trash...Shame on you Little Donkey. the Mexican Style Street Corn was good because you can't go wrong with fresh corn on the cob when all the seasoning and flavor is stuck to the paper it's wrapped in...

Pretty disappointed. I used to love the smoked Burrito w/ Smoked Chicken but $15 is a lot for a tortilla full of rice, some beans and chicken. Nothing else. The chicken had good flavor but again the main ingredient in this dish was rice and more rice.

Queso Con Carne is my husband's favorite. He also got a Quesadilla w/ Smoked Chicken that kept him busy for a while. I ordered a Smoked Chicken Taco that was scrumptious. This restaurant is definitely on our favorites list.
