This is one of my very favorite places to eat. Great home cooked comfort food. I especially love the turkey manhattans and the fresh green beans, cabbage and lima beans.

Enough food ordered for one, that I fixed a plate of half as much for my husband. He is 90 yrs old and ate every bite. The only criticism to offer is the roast beef, over cooked, tuff, unseasoned and bland. Couldn't eat. Everything else was delicious and since it fed two, well worth the money.

The Chicken Pot Pie was awful, almost all crust, burnt and barely any filling. Only 4 very small cubes of chicken in it and dry. They also forgot my desert which I paid for and was on the receipt. The Carved Roast Beef was extremely dry and almost inedible, my mother could barely chew the small portion she tried to eat. This is the MCL in Carmel, IN even though there is a closer one to my home they had it come from so far away everything was cold by the time it got here. I had come to expect more from both MCL and DoorDash.

The piece of pumpkin pie I ordered was very small and had thin pumpkin filling. For the sum of $4.85 a piece the serving should have been larger in size and the main ingredient which is pumpkin.

I pick MCL when I want comfort food. Today was not the best, but I ordered about 4pm and some items had been waiting for awhile. Portions were generous, but broccoli was soft and bland, chicken breast was dry, roast beef was poorly packaged so bloody juices ran out and leaked through bottom of the paper bag. Fruit gelatin was unharmed and delicious. Delivery was super quick, confirming my order went in too early to get dinner-fresh quality. Better planning next time.
