I ordered a powerhouse salad and a cup of chili alongside my BLTA sandwich (a BLT plus Avocado).
The salad was very generous in fixings, very generous amounts of hummus, avocado, egg, and feta. So much that I didn't need dressing at all, which is always what I like in a salad. The humus has a very mild kick to it, which I like, but if you're the type of person who can't do any spice whatsoever you may want to pass on the hummus. But it is very good hummus, not oily or greasy at all, great consistency.
The chili has practically no kick to it, which I don't mind. The first thing I noticed about it is it's very sweet and the beef is very finely ground. There is practically no beans, green peppers, or anything else. So it's basically like sweet tomato beef paste, and the beef quality seems pretty weak, it almost has the consistency like that ground up dust-like beef jerky chew stuff that comes in the chew cans to look like chewing tobacco. As impressed as I was with the salad, this chili was very disappointing.
The sandwich was good but they ruined the bacon by having way too much black pepper on it, making it taste like peppered beef jerky more than anything. But the bacon is high quality meat, you can tell it's good bacon, they just ruined it by cooking it with too much black pepper. Bread has a great taste and great little crumbs of something on the outside, but it's got that real STRETCHY quality to it that's kinda indicative of cheap bread. Tomatoes were too thin and not enough, barely realized I was eating them. Should have asked for extra, cuz just about every restaurant skimps on tomato. No mayo on the BLT either, or just far too little, so that was disappointing
