I've had Egyptian basbousa (a.k.a Namoora) before - it was made with real ghee, moist from the drizzled syrup, and soft - based on that taste, I thought the Namoora would taste the same or closely similar, but that wasn't the case. The latter was dry, made with Crisco, or cheap shortening, and I couldn't taste or feel the simple syrup initially. The best treat was the Chocolate Burma Pecan , and the others were ok.
