• DoorDash orderBig fan in general, hadn't spotted The Serpentine Burrito on the menu, decided to try it with the pork belly and "bean crack".
I will admit, that first bite was glorious. I genuinely thought to myself "this may be the greatest burrito of my life". Then I kept eating and calmed down a bit.
The main issue, as I see it, is the use of a single (generous portion, mind you) long, thick strip of cheese down the side of the burrito. They used good Oaxaca cheese. Flavor profile blends well with fatty meats and with the beans. It is, however, a bit dry and didnt melt all the way through. Easy fix, thinner strips or knuckle down and dice it. one of the reasons so many people use monterreyjack for this kind of thing. You trade flavor for moisture and mouth feel.
Second minor pseudo-issue, all of the rice ended up on the bottom, perhaps in hope that the bean juice would soak into it while you eat. Tasted like that paid off, but also ended up being the heaviest last bite of burrito ever.
Regardless, a fantastic meal.

• DoorDash reviewHonestly the best thing was their bread pudding, but the last two times I ordered it they were out of caramel. At least tell me you’re out of caramel before I order it (once was in person). Now I don’t even see their bread pudding anymore and no more tv dinners?
