Food was good, but too expensive. The Quesadillas were yummy but way too small for the price. The Ench de Polloiladas was good, and was a good portion (ironically, ended up cheaper than the quesadilla (protiens add 3-6 dollars, I got chicken, which added 3.50) for much more food)

Frankly, the only thing decent was the Salsa Verde. The only nice thing I can say is that the food was edible. The 4 Tacos Platter Special was dried out and badly over cooked. The Quesadillas had half the quantity of District Taco or Uncle Julios at the same price and they are ten times better. There are much better options out there.

Shrimp Ceviche was spicy and tangy, totally delicious. Queso Fundido.is also a must have. One of my favorite places.

The Sopes, with a double order of pork, was good, but incredibly expensive for what was not two patties, but pulled pork, which made for a skimpy meal. I have no complaints with the taste, only with not being able to afford repeating this excursion into a new restaurant for me. Too late for a photo. They always are requested after one has already eaten!

I have been struggling to find Mexican food in DC proper that compares to the Southwest. I'd have to say that this definitely was the best I've had here.
I got the birria flautas, enchiladas de Pollo, and a few barbacoa tacos to share. All the food was fresh and flavorful. It's the perfect level of spice in my opinion, where those like me who enjoy spicy food can enjoy the flavor, and those who may not can still tolerate it.
I tend to judge restaurants by their side items. The rice and beans were the best I've had from any Mexican place in DC, which to me means they probably make all their dishes to the same quality.
Glad that this restaurant is my first favorite on DoorDash!
