• DoorDash orderLove the Margherita (Vegetarian) pizza from 2051. You might think it would be too plain but it is not. The basil is so aromatic and the crust is perfect. The tomato sauce is fresh and obviously doesn't have anything artificial in it. Perfecto!

• DoorDash orderWe have been here many times and it was really good. Unfortunately, the to go was an empty bowl of pastas for $25. We order three main dishes and all three were probably half orders...very tiny portions. The food tasted good, but the bowls were almost empty. Too bad :(

• DoorDash order2051 Cucina Italiana is the best kept secret in North County for homemade pasta made with organic vegetables & fresh herbs, delicious bread and a really great wine list. (And the MOST generous serving of tiramisu!) The Italian couple who own it are absolutely lovely. Sit outside under the lights for a truly wonderful night.

• DoorDash orderI already have 2 favorite Italian places for pizza. Or should I say, I did. This pizza I had last night from 2051 Cucina Italiana in Carlsbad was heavenly. Absolute perfection. The crust was crisp & bubbly yet the center was about 3/8" thick & soft. The sauce tasted like that made by my great aunt who was from Italy. The sausage & slivers of red onions had just the right amount of seasoning. Too often sausage can overpower a pizza. Not this sausage. It was delicious & the toppings complemented the pizza as they should. I am looking forward to going into the restaurant to try a pasta dish.
