Might be the best Indian food in Philly! Do a great job packaging for take out too. The tiffin combo and non veg couples combos were top notch and amazing variety.

The Kothu Parotta and the Masala Dosa were absolutely delicious- they're always our go to orders when are at Amma's/get takeout from them . Flavorful and filling. The Masala Dosa is definitely better served at the restaurant because the filling is kept separate from the dosa and after delivery time, the dosa is not as warm. Still, flavors are great. The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly.

Overpriced for such tiny portions the Rasamalai on had to tiny pieces of che and too much milk the Dahi Poori didnt have any chutney and very soggy will not be ordering again so disappointing

Venn Pongal's quantity has been increased since my previous review. It is okay in quantity now for the price. The food is very good and overall a very good Indian restaurant in the city!

The food has a good taste, but it's quite heavy with the amount of oil and ghee used. The kal dosa in Egg Kurma was particularly greasy, soaked in ghee. The curry is also oily. The Idly (3Pcs) was alright, but the sambar was disappointing, with no vegetables—just flavored dal.
