Santa Maria Tri Tip sandwich is just delicious with plenty of meat for you hearty eaters. It's tender with great flavor. The bun really makes it come together.

I ordered the create your Build Your Own Texas Plate with pit-smoked boneless chicken, pulled pork, and baby back ribs. I chose bacon Mac n cheese and texas corn salad. I want sure how big the sides were and I wanted a corn muffin and potato salad, so I ordered those separately, as well as a chocolate chip cookie and bottle of Pepsi. This was a lot of food! The corn bread comes as a standard sized muffin with housemade cinnamon butter. I thought is was delicous, and the butter is much more subtle than Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter, so it doesn't make it taste too sweet. The sides are big- at least 1/2 cup if not 2/3 cup each in size. The Potato Salad is a yummy standard mustard style with that classic dill taste. The corn salad was such a refreshing side to such a savory course! And the kick from the jalapeño is just right. Anyone who likes white cheddar Mac and cheese will love theirs.
The meat- the chicken was actually my favorite. It was really moist and well seasoned. The ribs had a lovely sweet glaze, but I wished there just more of it with how much high-fat meat there is. The pulled pork was honestly just okay. It wasn't moist like the chicken, but it wasn't really dry either. It didn't really taste seasoned at all, but the bbq sauce the plate comes with made up for it. Overall, a very good dinner. Too much for one person, but I like leftovers. The soda and cookie are kind of expensive, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie was very crunchy, even the chocolate chips. If I had milk to soften it with, I think I would have enjoyed it. $60 for this much food is appropriate, especially in California. Doesn't include the service fees, taxes, tip, etc.

My 24oz Devil's Canyon Root Beer is literally 8 dollars for this tiny thing. I would have been betterto go to the gas station and buy 2 2liter sodas and it cup had a hole in it. I have to clean up this mess. I am glad my brisket sandwhich actually has brisket in it

This place has gone down hill. They gave me one cup of bbq sauce for 3 orders of meat. The food was cold and it did take the dasher long toget to me. This is the second time ive order andthe food was poor quality. The corn bread must have been sitting for a couple days and the ribs were dry

Their BBQ is good; I've been a customer since the late 80's. However, they aren't good about the sauce. Today I ordered two bulk orders, ribs & brisket, but only received a small, one personal serving of BBQ sauce. That's nowhere near enough for the amount of meat and the people who are coming tomorrow for the 4th. They don't even provide a choice of sauces on the delivery menu.
