Shrimp fried rice was really good. Spicy soft shell crab was good but lots of chili oil, so definitely had a kick. Tea smoked duck didn't come with any sauce, so a little dry. Pan fried pork buns were good.

Probably the worst Chinese takeout I've tried in NYC. All of the dishes were pretty flavorless and uninspiring. The kung pso chicken was rubbery, and was literally just bland rubbery chicken, peanuts, and chili peppers. Not even a bell pepper in sight! The cucumbers and string beans had no salt or acid. The smoked tofu was cold, tough, and flavorless. And they didn't include rice with either the chicken or the tofu. I don't understand how this place ever had a Michelin star (!!) but they are clearly living off previous reputation alone. Three stars only because the scallion pancakes were decent.

For the quality of food, and especially for the location, the prices were very reasonable! The food never disappoints either!

I ordered the spicy fish fillet and sauteed sting beans, and it was delicious. The portions were very generous. I would absolutely order from here again.

Best Chinese food in the city. It's super fast and reliable. The spicy fish fillets and ma po tofu are must-haves. Other good options include the cold noodles with shredded chicken, spicy cumin lamb, and kung pao chicken.
