I've usually ordered the sushi deluxe from here, we get the 20 piece chef's choice which is always delicious and a great variety. It has several pieces with jalapeño (the allergy alert doesn't have that as a choice unfortunately so I can't eat everything but I get enough). Edamame Steamed is always excellent (a little under salted for my taste but I have salt) and the Unagi (Freshwater Eel) is one of the best in Austin (not quite as crispy as I prefer but the perfect amount of sauce).
This time I was having a craving, so I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass
Let me tell you, it was savory and sweet and umami, light and flaky. I finished it and wanted to order another.
I highly recommend Ebisu for Japanese cuisine. A little on the pricey side but overall worth it.

Tuna/salmon not in/on every piece, slices are real thick, no taste at all you fell just sauces - no else, terrible quality

Outstanding specialty rolls! The Spider Roll is phenomenal and hearty and the California Roll is elevated and refreshing! This is my new sushi golden standard.

The miso soup was very good. The tuna rolls or Tekka Tuna Roll (Tekka Maki) were good too. It's funny to say, but they put too much tuna in each and not enough rice. The tuna was dark dark red, but it tasted just the same as light tuna.

I order from Ebisu at least once a month. Overall, I've been satisfied, but the past two orders have been questionable. The Seaweed Salad was good, as always (although I've never understood the added pickles). The Brussels Sprouts are delicious. Theyre spicy, crisp and slightly blackened. For me, something has gone awry with the rolls. The presentation is nice - other than this time my Red Alert Roll was packed upside down in the bag. But where's the fish? I deconstructed my rolls in the last two orders trying to find fish. There was plenty of sticky rice, and cucumber and other vegetable fillings. I ask for tobiko, and there's a generous frosting on top. But yellowtail? Tuna? Even if I missed the yellowtail I would have easily found tuna. This is just my experience, and if you don't order raw sushi the roll situation wont matter.
