Food was yummy. Could have used more syrup for french toast though. Restaurant followed order instructions. Loved that toast was foil wrapped separately, so wasnt soggy from condenation of other foods.

The supreme burrito deserves its name, and not just because it's filling but because it's tasty! the eggs weren't scrambled but rather fried sunnyside to perfection. The wrap was a bit soggy by the time it got to me~ but it was so delicious it didn't matter. The house made chipotle/pico de Gallo was absolutely fantastic. Thanks Firebird!

I think this was hands down one of the worst burritos I've ever had (Pork Burrito). It was extremely dry and bland. In the photo it has what looks like salsa Verde on it, but when it was delivered there was no sauce. This burrito desperately needs the salsa. Even the avocado inside wasn't fresh and had a harsh overripe taste. I also got a side of potatoes and those were beyond bland as well. I think I'm done trying with this place. It used to be delicious, but something has definitely caused them to go really far downhill.

partner said the Pork Burrito was fine but my Chorizo Benedict was burnt in every possible way. it didn't have any sauce on it. the chorizo, english muffin, and egg were all burnt. the egg and english muffin for the Breakfast Sandwich were burnt. AND they forgot the chocolate chips on the French Toast =( love this place normally but i think i'll stick to dining in.

This place makes incredible omelets . However, because like many places around here, Firebird cafe does a rather lackluster job at making and packing up their food to go, said omelets definitely lose some notable quality when ordered through DoorDash BUT are none the less are still tasty and satisfying.
Sadly, all of the other dishes I have ordered from here have been varying degrees of disappointing:
The bennedict I got while dining in at the cafe was okay but definitely not great and I cant imagine it would have been appealing if it had been made and packed for delivery.
The chile reellenos I ordered through doordash were incredibly heavy on the sauce and cheese which admitedly, would probably not have been as aesthetically unapealing and senserally overwhelming/upsetting had it not been takeout but unfortunately, it was also a matter of taste as the sauce was incredibly bland and ny other potential flavors entirely indiscernable amongt the single-toned cheese which was not so much held within peppers, as it was the tome under which the ghost like husks of two tiny peppers were buried.
Anyway, I ordered Firebird cafes pork burrito yesterday bc it was on sale through a limited time DoorDash specific offer and, I'll be blunt, t was shockingly bad. The failure mode of burritos isnt inenedibility, its continually dissapointing tolerability, which is somehow more upsetting.
The two stars I gave fire bird cafe are both for the all around enjoyable and satusfying omelettes. If i were simply reviewing the omeletts id give them a solid 4.5/5. Maybe even higher-but this is a review odthe cafe at large and for some reason they have more than just omelets on their menu.
Ive docked one star for the forlorn pepper ghosts suffocatung under their brutal cheesy fate.
I havent Docked any for the bennedict bc I recognize that it's unfair to compare bennedicts in VT to The NJ diner benendicts I grew up with.
Similarly, i didnt dock any stars for delivery related packing/prepping of food bc having to comsistently accomodate or takeout/delivery orders, is a pretty recent and big shift for many resturaunts up here and its kinda on me for using doordash anyway.
I did however have to dock one star for not knowing how to make a burrito and a second star for having items outside of Firebird cafes capacity in general but especially that devesasting pork burrito- on the menu at all
