Seriously seriously the best pasta I have ever had! The Black Truffle Pappardelle is light and filling! I dont feel bloated and gross after eating there pasta like most other times I have pasta! The Burrata was fresh and flavorful, and the Rigatoni was melt in your mouth goodness! Thank you to the chefs! Will be back!

The food was unfortunately underwhelming—flavors were quite bland and lacked depth. For the price point, the portion sizes felt noticeably small. While the service was fine, overall value just didn’t meet expectations. There are better options nearby for Italian fare; I’d recommend Pastini instead.

Decided to try some place new and I am so glad I did. This might be my new favorite Italian restaurant.
The Adult Luke was really nice. Meatballs were nice and soft. Part of me does wish there was slightly more seasoning in the meatballs, but I am still more than happy with them. I wasn't expecting anything as nice for the price.
But the Fusilli alla Vodka? Amazing. Honestly wish I had gotten this instead. This is good. This alone is worth the 5 stars.

Best Italian food in all of Portland. Don't care what anyone here says. Im from southern CA where we actually have good food everywhere.. not like here where McDonalds gets a 5 star and a quality place like oswego grill gets a 3. plus I've been to Italy several times and some of the finest Italian all over the country. Grassa is hands down the best here but the most reasonably priced. They could charge double for each meal and we would still order here but I surely hope they dont as many people wont go and then we will loose them when they close.
About the food. Everything and I mean everything
We have had is phenomenal and different than you are used too. The Fusilli alla Vodkais insanely good. The Pasta alla Chitarra is off the hook good with such a awesome twist on the pesto leaving pine nuts behind. The other few dishes we had including the salad. I forget which but if you ask the guy which to get he will suggest it is amazing. This place is a win on all fronts.

What happened with the portions and the taste? The Pork Belly Mac & Cheese & the Fusilli alla Vodka was 1/3 of what the portion usually is:( it was my sons birthday and he ALWAYS gets the Pork Belly Mac & Cheese so this was a bummer. The Spaghetti Aglio Olio was awful, tastesless with stale breadcrumbs and the noodles were like raw ramen noodles with grease....(crying) ... was not edible:(
LOVE grassa so maybe this was an anomaly; I hope so and they go back to their usual selves.
We dont go out hardly ever, so the $60+ we spent was a big disappointment.
